Linear Accelerator B40 Heinz Laser Laboratory

Stanford University

Stanford Linear Accelerator (SLAC) required a laser laboratory for one of its leading scientists. Interface Engineering worked collaboratively with the end users, architect and building owner to achieve the optimized mixture of the required functionality, schedule and budget.

Menlo Park, California

Client: Solomon Cordwell Buenz (SCB)

Building Size: 5,000 sf

Project Cost: $4 million

Interface was able to assemble a list of cost saving measures that would still meet the requirements of the end user and would bring the project budget back into alignment during the design phase. This project is now used as an example laboratory of how future laser labs are to be built.
