Interface invites you to attend an informative presentation and next installment of our 2025 High Performance Buildings Educational Series, The Balance Between Lighting Design and Sustainability, presented by Associate Principal/Senior Lighting Designer, Kristina Santi LC, Assoc. IALD

Interface’s Lighting Design Studio discusses the balance between Lighting Design and Sustainability. The impact of our lighting design choices on the environment, the end-user, project budgets, and sometimes limitations on design, that all need to be considered to provide the optimal solution.

Learning Objective 1:
Attendees will learn about the impacts of 2022 Title 24 on light quality and sustainability.

Learning Objective 2:
Attendees will learn about sustainable lighting options that they can use in their designs.

Learning Objective 3:
Attendees will learn about how well and LEED credits can help drive down the carbon footprint on lighting designs. As well as learn about how the LPC and Declare labels work.

Learning Objective 4:
Attendees will learn about life cycle analysis and EPDs and how the whole product cycle has an impact on sustainability.

Learning Objective 5:
Attendees will understand how all these need to be considered and balanced to provide the optimum lighting solution.

    About the Presenter:

    Kristina has over 15 years of experience in lighting and electrical engineering. Kristina has managed multiple projects and teams both internationally and locally. Kristina excels at providing both aesthetically pleasing and technically sound lighting projects with a focus on energy efficiency.
